How to remove pages from a PDF

  1. Open your PDF

    Drag and drop the PDF, or click to choose it. Each page shows as a thumbnail.

  2. Remove the unwanted pages

    Click the delete button on a page to take it out. To remove many, select them and press Invert, which selects the pages you are keeping instead.

  3. Download the result

    Click Download to save a new PDF. If pages are selected, only the selected pages are saved.

Select the pages to remove, then press Invert so the pages to keep are selected instead. Download saves only those.

Usually a smaller file

Images and fonts that only the deleted pages used are left out of the new file, so taking pages out makes it smaller as well as shorter.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove several pages at once?
Yes. Select the pages you want gone, press Invert so the selection becomes the pages you keep, then click Download. Only the selected pages are saved, as extract.pdf.
Does deleting pages make the PDF smaller?
Usually. Images and fonts used only by the deleted pages are not copied into the new file. Removing a page of plain text saves little; removing a full-page photo or scan saves roughly what that page added to the file. For a bigger reduction, use Compress PDF.
Is the original file changed?
No. Your original PDF is only read, never modified. Deleting pages only affects the new PDF you download.
I deleted the wrong page. Can I get it back?
Click “Start over” and open the file again. Because the original was never changed, every page is still there.
