How do I convert a PNG to PDF?

Does converting PNG to PDF lose any quality?

No. The image is stored in the PDF with lossless compression at its original pixel dimensions — the same pixels, unchanged. Nothing is re-encoded as JPEG and there is no quality slider to get wrong.

Is PNG transparency kept?

Yes. The alpha channel is carried into the PDF as a soft mask rather than being flattened away, so it is still there if the image is later extracted or placed over other artwork. Do bear in mind that a PDF page is white paper: on screen and in print, transparent areas simply show the white page behind them.

Can I combine several PNGs into one PDF?
