How to merge PDF files for free

  1. Add the PDFs to merge

    Drag and drop all the PDFs you want to combine, or click to choose them. Every page appears together in one grid.

Frequently asked questions

How many PDFs can I merge at once?
As many as you like. There is no file-count or page limit, and you can add more at any time with the “Add PDF” button.
Can I change the page order while merging?
Yes. Once the files are loaded, drag any page by its handle to reposition it, including moving pages between the different documents.
Will the merged PDF still have selectable text?
Yes. Pages are copied rather than redrawn, so any text you could select or search in the original still works that way, and nothing is compressed a second time.
Can I merge images with my PDFs?
Yes. Drop JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF images in alongside the PDFs. Each image becomes a page you can place anywhere in the merged file.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not while it is locked. If you know the password, remove it first with Unlock PDF, which also runs in your browser, then merge the unlocked copy.
