How to split a PDF

  1. Open your PDF

    Drag and drop the PDF, or click to choose it. Each page shows as a thumbnail with a checkbox.

  2. Select the pages for the first file

    Select the pages you want with their checkboxes. “Select all” and “Invert” make it quick to take every page, or every page but a few.

  3. Download the selection

    Click Download. Only the selected pages go into the new PDF. For another part, go back with “Change”, select different pages and download again.

With pages selected, Download saves only those, as extract.pdf. With nothing selected, it saves the whole document.

The rest in one click

After saving the first part, go back to the pages with “Change” and press Invert. The pages you left behind become the selection, ready to download as the second file.

Pages copied, not reprinted

Extracted pages are the original pages, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality. Reorder or rotate them first if you need to.

Frequently asked questions

How do I extract just a few pages?
Select those pages with their checkboxes and click Download. Only the selected pages are saved, as a new PDF called extract.pdf.
Can I split one PDF into several files?
Yes, one file per download. Select the pages for the first part and download them, then go back to the pages with “Change”, select the next part and download again. Invert selects every page you did not save the first time.
Can it save every page as a separate file automatically?
Not as separate PDFs: each download is one PDF, so single pages are saved one at a time. If images are enough, choose the Images output and you get every page as its own JPG or PNG in one ZIP.
Does splitting change my original PDF?
No. Your file is only read, never modified. Each part you download is a new PDF.
