How do I export PDF pages as PNG?

Open the PDF, choose the image output, and set the format to PNG. Every page is rendered to its own PNG and the whole set arrives as a single ZIP, numbered in page order.

Why choose PNG rather than JPG?

PNG is lossless, so flat colour, thin lines and small text come out clean — without the fringing JPG leaves around dark text on a white background. That makes it the better pick for documents, diagrams and screenshots. JPG gives smaller files and is fine for photographic scans.

What resolution are the PNG files?

Each page is rendered at up to 1750 pixels on its long edge — roughly 150 DPI for an A4 or Letter page, sharp enough to read on screen and to print at normal size. Smaller pages are scaled up to 3× rather than exported tiny.

Do the exported PNGs have a transparent background?

No. A page is rendered the way it would print, on white paper, so the PNGs are opaque with a white background. PNG is chosen here for being lossless, not for transparency — a PDF page has none to preserve.
